Summary of the Test 👇

Blue Yeti Nano microphone: a benchmark brand

Buying this microphone means treating yourself to luxury. Just like the Rode Podcaster USB, with the Blue Yeti Nano, recording podcasts and voiceovers will be extraordinary.

Likewise, the production of YouTube videos, streaming, communication by Skype or even calls will border on excellence.

In terms of design, no one can disagree that this microphone is a success. Its design is carried out by a large-scale company.

With its rather Nano design, and its entirely metallic material, you run no risk! Its durability is guaranteed and its robustness no longer needs to be reviewed.

Due to its fairly hard support, you can direct this microphone vertically, as you wish. Which is very practical for singers who can hold it by hand.

Especially since Yeti Nano does not need any audio or other interface to work perfectly.

Do you like decoration? It's perfect, this microphone can enhance your office or apartment by transforming it into a recording studio worthy of the name! Setting up your home studio will not be an unattainable dream.

With its professional appearance and lightness, its installation will pose no problem. Simply plug the mic into your PC before recording sounds.

Thanks to its cardioid directivity, this microphone will be able to easily capture sound sources located all around the microphone.

So, don't worry, handling noise or background noise during your sound recordings will be reduced as much as possible.

Its second omnidirectional directivity facilitates recording via a desktop as well as the adjustment of sound sources.

Like the Audio-Technica AT2020 USB microphone, the Yeti Nano microphone will produce pleasant sounds during conferences, video calls and Internet recordings.

Special attention to musicians! As a feature, this microphone supports high sound pressure. It takes at least 24 bits and can reach 48 kHz.

You can test it by raising your voice. This is a condenser microphone with a good level of sound source pickup. So both bass and treble are audible.

With its compact format, traveling with it will pose no problem. Plus, it doesn't require much to operate.

Wherever you are as long as you have your computer with you, it's good! It applies to it in plug-in play mode.

Moreover, to serve you better, the Yeti Nano's USB microphone function has been simplified. Its USB port is easily suitable for any type of device.

The 3.5 mm mini-jack headphone output is always supported by a potentiometer for controlling the listening volume. And in addition to the directivity selector, the Yeti Nano has a button that is used to activate/deactivate it.

Remarkable value for money

Looking for an ideal microphone that will allow you to obtain high-resolution sound quality? I suggest the Yeti Nano which is a perfect condenser microphone in the modern audiovisual field.

This micro-USB has dethroned other models with its specialization for recording and streaming. It is a legendary microphone suitable for broadcasts and Internet video.

Finally, it is the ideal type of best studio microphone in front of the camera despite its seemingly simplistic design.

Made up of two 14mm capsules, it tends to provide intense sensitivity to your vocal pickup. This microphone makes your sound recordings a little warmer.

Likewise, for audio and musical jack. Many streaming professionals, musicians and singers are right to appreciate it.

Carefully considered, buying a microphone like this represents an interesting return on investment due to the fact that it is at a low price. It's a mistake to believe these days that cheap microphones are of poor quality.

You can acquire the Yeti Nano for only €119.99. Four models of the product are sold on the market at the same price and above all with the same success. Blue lets you choose.

That said, this price is more or less normal since the pop filter and certain accessories are not included. But, for my part, I manage to get by.

My microphone remains autonomous and functional with or without these tools. I wouldn't trade this shiny, cheap gadget for its equivalents.

Firstly, it has two modes: cardioid and omnidirectional.

Why choose the Blue Yeti Nano microphone?

This microphone goes straight to the point! I even think he does more. The reason is that:

  • First it has two modes: cardioid and omnidirectional . You can therefore interchange it according to your use.

Cardioid for a studio experience: voice-over or all takes in front of an omnidirectional microphone for your podcast, interview or your gaming sessions (also discover our guide to the best gaming and streaming microphones , a comparison guide and complete test).

  • This type of microphone is intended for any user. It's a multifunction microphone. You can use it for phone meetings on Zoom and especially on YouTube. It also includes the same functionalities as a classic microphone.

Blue Yeti Nano or Blue Yeti X?

The Blue Yeti Nano is a more affordable version of the popular Blue Yeti X micro. Hence, choosing between these two is difficult.

Both are qualified as USB microphones , I invite you to consult their common advantages. For comparison, you will also be able to see:

The Blue Yeti X differs in that it offers less directivity. Moreover, his is based on individual capsules and not on digital algorithms.

But the biggest difference remains the absence of a gain adjustment button on the Blue Yeti Nano. It must be set by software rather than manually.

Which is a bit annoying if you are a perfectionist user. But, fear not, Blue Microphone has already anticipated a solution. The Blue Sherpa desktop app allows you to do this control.

This software's mission is to:

  • manage the activation or deactivation of headset and microphone sound,
  • adjust the microphone gain and headphone volume,
  • monitor the change in directivity and sampling rate.

On the other hand, the Blue Yeti Nano offers a clear and crisp signal without digital processing. Hence the origin of its reputation in the field of podcasting and musical recording.

Our opinion on the Blue Yeti Nano microphone

For all beginners, getting started with this microphone is a good idea! Its headphone output is low latency. Its dual microphone configuration provides clear and crisp audio quality.

However, this microphone does not have a shock absorber. On the other hand, the presence of the design and the metal support is about to fill this gap. Many users attest to its durability.

Additionally, it's hard to say how much more feature-rich the mic would be with a built-in gain knob despite the presence of the Sherpa app.

If you don't mind the lack of this button, you're getting a good deal with this price. Blue wanted to offer it at a price accessible to all budgets. Finally, it gives you a solid experience, but on the cheap.

Treat yourself to optimal restitution by pushing the gain parameters a little harder. Pay close attention to extraneous noise.

This could be the noise of your mouse, keyboard, or something else. Be careful, because this high sensitivity can destroy your sound recording if the microphone is very close.

For greater peace of mind, I advise you to attach your microphone using the Blue Compass. The microphone will then be close to your mouth, and away from ambient noise.
